西勢車站規模不大，卻是內埔一帶居民日常往返的重要節點，鄰近豐田老街與客家文化場域，具備成為「客家文化巡禮起點」的定位條件。本案以「地景 X 結構：共構關係」為核心概念，跳脫單點式的停車場改造，將車站橋體結構與周邊地景視為同一系統，透過結構向外延伸、地景向內導入，重構橋下空間與外部場域的連結，回應現況封閉、通透性不足的問題。

設計延伸出數項整合系統：後站廣場以鏡面水池、階梯花園與本土水生植栽構成兼具識別性與雨水淨化功能的場域；植栽設計依橋下微氣候分區配置本土適應性物種；指標系統以層級化的減法設計提升動線可讀性；燈光設計則回應基地周邊十種保育類候鳥的生態調查，以暖色溫、低眩光原則平衡夜間識別與棲地保護。

Xishi Station is modest in scale but serves as a vital daily transit node for the Neipu area, adjacent to Fengtian Old Street and surrounding Hakka cultural sites, positioning it as a potential starting point for a broader Hakka cultural journey. The design is organized around a central concept — landscape and structure as a co-constructed field — moving beyond a single-point conversion of the forecourt into a plaza. The bridge structure and surrounding landscape are treated as one system, with structure extending outward and landscape drawn inward to reconstruct the relationship between the underpass and adjacent open space, addressing the site's existing enclosure and poor visual permeability.

This strategy extends into several integrated systems: a rear plaza combining a reflective pool, terraced rain garden, and native aquatic planting for both spatial identity and stormwater treatment; a planting palette of native and naturalized species zoned to the underpass's microclimate; a wayfinding system built on hierarchical, subtractive design for improved legibility; and a lighting design informed by an ecological survey of ten protected bird species on site, balancing nighttime visibility with habitat protection through warm-toned, low-glare lighting.
